How to Check Your Voter Registration

Checking your voter record only takes a minute.

Yet, It's one of the most important things you can do before Election Day.

Here's how to make sure you're ready to vote in the midterms.

2 easy steps to take before October 5

1. Check your registration status.

Head to the Georgia Secretary of State's My Voter Page. Enter your information and make sure your voter status is active. Even if you voted earlier this year, this is still an important step!

2. Look at your address, not just your status.

Seeing "Active" isn't enough. Also check that the address listed is where you live now.

Recently moved?

You can update your address online through the Secretary of State's online voter registration system. Moved to a new county? You'll need to update your registration so you can vote for your new local races.

Not registered yet? You have until October 5.

Monday, October 5th is the last day to register for the November 3 election. Good news: in Georgia, you can register completely online if you have a Georgia driver's license or state ID. Don't have one? You can still register with a paper application and mail it or drop it off at your county board of registrars.

Mailing it near the deadline?
Take it to a USPS counter and ask for a free manual postmark. That way, you have proof of when you sent it. Get official Georgia voter registration info
